EMOTIONAL ASPECT: Ignore No More
The emotional aspect of our lives is difficult to express and comprehend as feelings are internal and intangible in form. While we generally ignore our feelings at surface level; in reality, we earn, achieve, attain, and accomplish, to feel certain emotions like love, peace, bliss, joy, etc. We generally show enthusiasm for positive emotions but numb our negative emotions like remorse, jealousy, guilt, etc.
We’ll notice that people often advise us to mentally toughen and emotionally stabilise ourselves. But, nobody teaches us, How to do it? How to deal with emotional stress in our day to day life?
Our school education focuses on science, maths, history, and language for better career prospects. But, never emphasise much on our emotional intelligence, stability or emotional growth.
Emotional stress is generally deep in its form. It has many layers that are formed unconsciously on our present, past and future experiences. These unconscious emotions gradually create negative thought patterns and blockages in our life. Such blockages ultimately become our pain bodies that break our connection with life.
Our subconscious mind is the storehouse of every emotion we curb in our day to day life. It’s these curbed emotions that later become the cause of our psychological disorders like depression, stress, narcissism etc.
I believe by consciously analyzing and cleaning our subconscious mind on a deeper level with the help of mindfulness, awareness and presence, we can release negative feelings from our psyche.
There are various emotional catharsis techniques and methods to cleanse these not so serving emotions from our life. We will explore them one by one on our journey with RWL.
Till then, I request you to contemplate on the power of emotions in life.
How your emotions affect you in your daily life? Do you maintain a track of how you feel daily? Do you freely express your feelings or hide them deep inside the depths of your heart? Do you feel the need for emotional education? Do you believe emotions play an important role in our life?
Food for thought! Contemplate on it, Feel it and Question it.
